An early arrival: choose the bag solution, not an imaginary early room
With a morning train and a 15:00 check-in, JO&JOE offers reception lockers and St Christopher’s offers pre-check-in storage. Those are usable leads for an arrival-day plan. Neither establishes free storage or early access to the bedroom.
The People’s published early-check-in time is internally unclear, so this guide does not turn it into a promise. FIAP’s round-the-clock reception also does not establish when a room can be entered.
The post-check-out gap
JO&JOE states that after its 10:00 check-out, secure lockers are available for an extra charge. St Christopher’s permits storage after its 11:00 check-out but does not establish a free service. The People also checks out at 11:00; its storage terms and FIAP’s remain unresolved here.
For a later train, the relevant comparison is one storage arrangement for the actual bags and collection time. A 24-hour desk does not establish locker dimensions, unlimited capacity or overnight storage.
Late arrival is a building-access question
St Christopher’s and FIAP list 24-hour reception. JO&JOE says guests can return without a curfew, while the Happy House closes at midnight. FIAP restricts entry between 20:00 and 06:00 to customers who have a room.
For a first arrival overnight at FIAP, the remaining question is specific: how your confirmed booking is recognized at the entrance. For JO&JOE, a late return does not mean access to the guest microwave after midnight. Those are different problems and need different answers.
A before-check-in museum visit needs a bag decision first
Carnavalet does not accept luggage; its policy permits handbag-style bags only. An airport arrival with a suitcase cannot use the museum as a storage substitute. Settle the hostel bag drop first, then choose the afternoon outing.
A usable arrival-day sequence
For a morning arrival with a suitcase, first complete the agreed bag drop at the property. JO&JOE’s reception lockers and St Christopher’s pre-check-in storage are the specific starting leads in this shortlist. Keep the small bag needed for the outing separate from the case being stored. A museum is not a fallback locker: Carnavalet rejects luggage.
For an afternoon arrival after 15:00, the published room handover time aligns more closely with the outing. Finish the actual room access before leaving for a meal, particularly if a delayed arrival has changed the original plan. That avoids having the late-access question hanging over the return.
For a departure-day train well after check-out, arrange the storage period and collection before going out. JO&JOE explicitly makes post-check-out lockers a paid service. St Christopher’s permits storage, but its listing does not establish a zero charge. A late check-out offer and a bag locker are different purchases; buy the one that covers the requirement.
Ask one unresolved question, not a generic list
The People and FIAP need a specific storage answer if the day depends on leaving a large bag. The useful question is whether the actual case can be stored for the required period and what it costs, rather than whether the hostel generally has facilities. For an overnight first arrival at FIAP, the useful question is how the confirmed guest is admitted during the 20:00–06:00 restriction.
The arrival guide handles airport ticket media and final stations; early flights works backwards from the terminal deadline.
