Keep the address and the booking together
Save the property name, full street address, booking reference and operator contact details from your confirmation. Check that your transport destination is the hostel you booked rather than another branch with a similar name. Keep the information accessible without relying on an email search after arrival.
Check arrival terms for your room
Read the confirmed check-in window and any instructions for arriving outside it. If your planned arrival sits outside those terms, obtain the operator’s instructions before travel. Do not assume that reception hours, access to the building and the time your room is ready mean the same thing.
Airport rail: identify the right link
RATP identifies RER B for Charles de Gaulle and metro 14 for Orly airport. Treat these as the network starting points, then enter your actual terminal and hostel address into the itinerary planner for your travel date. Check disruptions and the final connection before leaving.
Replace old Orlybus instructions
Orlybus ended on 3 March 2025. If saved accommodation directions still send you to that service, replace them with a current journey to your exact airport terminal or hostel address.
Choose the airport ticket for your journey
The Paris Region Airports ticket allows connections on metro, RER, suburban train and Orlyval for two hours without leaving the network. Loading restrictions apply alongside other ticket types on the same medium. Check the current conditions for your phone or Navigo Easy before travel, rather than assuming a city ticket covers the airport journey.
Build the journey around the date
Use the official planner for your travel date and intended departure time. Allow time to leave the terminal or station and find the boarding point. Check disruption notices before setting off.
Make the fallback usable
Keep a second journey option and the property’s contact details beside your main plan. If a delay changes your arrival, contact the operator through the channel listed in the confirmation. Do not rely on an old message or a search snippet to determine late-access instructions.
Separate bag drop from room access
If you want to arrive before check-in or leave bags after check-out, confirm the actual storage arrangement, access hours and any charge with the operator. Decide what you will do if storage is unavailable. Keep the first outing flexible until your room and bag arrangements are settled.
Save before departure
- Exact property name and street address from the confirmation.
- Booking reference and operator contact channel.
- Confirmed check-in window and any late-arrival instructions.
- Main journey checked for the actual travel date and time.
- A fallback you are prepared to use.
- Confirmed bag arrangements, if needed before check-in.
Do not put your booking reference or personal travel details into a public comment or shared planning page. Keep the confirmation in your own records.
Once access is settled, use the flexible first-evening plan. Still deciding on accommodation: start with the private-room collection and room comparison.
For property-specific times and storage limits, read bag drop, check-in and late arrival. For a departure before the normal day gets going, use the early-flight checklist.
